How to deal with Change, the one constant in life
My heart was starting to feel heavy as I heard what was on tonight’s news.
Then I remembered that I don’t have to focus on the fear and chaos that’s going around.
It doesn’t mean I’m not taking things seriously. It doesn’t mean I’m pretending that it’s not happening.
It just means that I’m choosing to tend to my mind’s garden. I’m choosing to pull out the weeds so my flowers can bloom easier.
These days I get to spend more time with my gorgeous man. We get to cook meals together more often.
We make it feel more special by eating at our balcony, enjoying a painting that continues to change moment by moment as the sun rises and sets and clouds come and go.
When we walk together, I get to walk right next to him and hold his hand.
We talk about our favourite parts of trips we’ve taken together, the Alfama district food tour in Lisbon, the evening sailing into the sunset, just us and the captain of the boat, climbing Mt Teide in Tenerife…
We get to dance together at home, even if it’s not a fancy choreography and simply moving along to the music.
We get to do this together and show our love for each other and those we care about.
I get to go to sleep next to him, kiss him good night and be held in his strong arms.
When the sun rises, I get to start my day with a kiss and cuddle from my love.
Then we both get to show up to do our greatest work and serve. And learn.
Change is the one constant in life.
We get to choose how we handle it.
Today I choose to remember to come from ❤.
I choose to know that 🌱 Life always supports us. 🌻
I choose to know that the grass 🌾🌹🍀grows where you water it.
Stay safe, keep well.
Much 💖,
Summer 😘
